Local concurrency mode spreads those sessions across every account in your pool, so each round finishes in a fraction of the time.

As a model: time per round ≈ T0 × max(1, sessions ÷ accounts). At 10 concurrent sessions across 5 accounts that is about with better local recovery, typical — and the real-world gap widens further when a single account hits its TPM and RPM ceilings at once.
